43.2     It was decided to recommend to the Council to '

 

i)    grant approval for 2011-2012 academic session for 30 admissions for the conduct of IInd year Pharm.D course.

 

ii)   grant approval for 2011-2012 academic session for 10 admissions for the conduct of IVth year Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) course.  The approval of Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) is subject to submission of affiliation of the Examining Authority for Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) failing which no admission to Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) shall be made.

148.2   It was decided to recommend to the Council to reject the application in view of following deficiencies and non-compliance of infrastructural facilities prescribed under Appendix-B of Pharm.D. a)   The Principal joined only on the day of inspection and is not qualified as per Pharm.D. Regulations, 2008.

d)   Equipments were deficient.

e)   The ceiling of one laboratory needs repair.  It appears to be bending down which needs correction.

f)   Pharmacy Practice area in the hospital be expanded and improved.

g)   Department Library in the hospital supporting Drug Information Services needs improvement.

h)   At the time of inspection of the hospital no medical officer responsible for coordinating the programme was available for interaction.

i)    grant approval from 2009-2010 to 2011-2012 academic session for 60 admissions for the conduct of Ist, IInd & IIIrd year B.Pharm course.

     

ii)   allow 60 admissions for 2011-2012 academic session subject to submission of affiliation fee per annum to the PCI within the stipulated time period.

 

167.3   It was further decided to instruct the institution '

 

i)    that every year it has to apply to PCI in the SIF for the conduct of early inspection for year-wise approval or rejection of approval on the basis of which the institution can make further admission/no admission.  When the students are in the final year B.Pharm an inspection will be conducted by PCI for consideration approval of B.Pharm course u/s 12 of the Pharmacy Act for the purpose of registration as pharmacist. It is the responsibility of the institution to apply in the prescribed SIF of to PCI before 15th September every year alongwith complete documents.

 

ii)   to comply with the requirements of Education Regulations, 1991 particularly   regarding appointment of teaching staff and equipments.
